Ella LASZLO, known as Ella BACHÉ, was born in Budapest, Hungary,
on 17 November 1900.
1920
At the age of 26, she graduated from the University of Budapest and became one of the first women pharmacists. Her creative soul was passionate about skincare, and she set herself the goal of putting science at the service of beauty..
1927
Faced with the rise of anti-Semitism and Nazism, she fled Hungary and settled in Paris with her mother. Cosmetic skincare did not yet exist, so she developed the ambition to create effective products that were pleasant to use, while teaching women how to maintain the beauty of their skin.
1930
She developed the 1st skincare make-up for the Parisian Haute Couture Houses to protect the skin of models damaged by make-up.
1936
She opened her own beauty salon at 8 Rue de la Paix, where she created the 1st medical beauty consultation: skin diagnosis and prescription for made-to-measure skin care. She also created the iconic Tomate Cream, the 1st cream to include AHAs in skincare.
1941
Always on the lookout for innovation, she opened an office and laboratory in New York. She drew inspiration from the latest medical research on burn victims to create a cult product, the Intex Cream. She also developed the 1st composition labels, with the aim of providing transparency for consumers.
1960
She created the Revitalizer, the 1st mechanical & chemical double peel that revolutionised the skin preparation stage. In 2023, discover its new formula in all our professional treatments.
1970
As it was important for her to support women in their daily lives and making them more independent, she produced several beauty advice guides.
1980
Her visionary spirit pushed her to take an interest in a little-known molecule and develop Elastogel, the 1st product with Hyaluronic Acid, at the origin of the Hydra Repulp actual range.
1990
Ella took an interest in cutting-edge technologies and developed the Sonocare, the 1st device for the face using ultrasound, the precursor to SKINTEX®LAB, which is now used in all ELLA BACHÉ protocols.
